The representative of the Russian Federation in Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) Boris Gryzlov apologized for his words about occupied Donbas territories being “their separate territory.” At the demand of the head of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG Leonid Kravchuk, he acknowledged that certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts (ORDLO) is Ukrainian territory. This was stated by a source close to the talks, as Interfax-Ukraine reports.
According to Kravchuk, such statements by Gryzlov contradict the norms of international law, international treaties of Ukraine, the Constitution of Ukraine, as well as the norms of the UN and the OSCE.
Gryzlov acknowledged that “ORDLO is Ukrainian territory and that the Minsk agreements are designed to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine.”
Kravchuk stated that Ukraine would seek to restore territorial integrity and will implement all decisions and agreements on the ceasefire, as it did before.
