Spokesperson of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) Oleksiy Arestovych believes that Russia has no reason to turn the Donbas Conflict into the large-scale war as Ukraine 24 reported.
“Currently, it is an attempt to put pressure on us, society, military and political leadership, media to create in the information space the state of the war threat and reach particular condescension from our leadership in the Normandy Format and at TCG,” Arestovych noted.
On March 16, Deputy Head of the Administration of the Russian President, Russia’s Representative in Normandy Format talks at the level of the political advisers Dmitriy Kozak stated that the new peace plan on Donbas Conflict settlement announced by Ukraine does not exist.
Head of Ukraine’s Presidential Office Andriy Yermak stated that the plan of peaceful settlement of Donbas Conflict prepared by Ukraine and western partners is ready but it should be approved by Russia.
However, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Andrey Rudenko stated that Russia knows nothing about the plan.
Besides, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the preparation of the Normandy Format meeting. However, in case it does not take place, the leader of the state will find another format of the talks with each side.
Adviser on Information Policy of the Ukrainian delegation in the Trilateral Contact Group Oleksiy Arestovych stated that a new peace plan on Donbas offered by Germany and France will be presented until the end of March. As of today, the details of this initiative are not disclosed.
