Russia deploys 100th humanitarian convoy to Donbas

Russian trucks will bring about 95 tons of humanitarian aid to the occupied territories of the region

Emergencies Ministry of the Russian Federation has sent the 100th convoy of trucks with humanitarian aid to Donbas. This was reported by TASS with reference to the ministry’s press service.

"The convoy left the Donskyi Rescue Center in Donetsk and Luhansk Republics," the statement said.

According to the ministry, Russian trucks are transporting about 95 tons of humanitarian aid to the occupied territories of Donbas.

The cargo included medical devices and medicines.

According to the Ministry of Emergencies of the Russian Federation, 85 thousand tons of Russian humanitarian cargoes have been sent to Donbas since August 2014.

As we reported earlier, yesterday, on November 25, a regular meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) for the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donbas was held by video conference.

During the meeting, the Ukrainian side initiated an extraordinary meeting next week.

The following topics will be discussed: release of detainees; unblocking of the work of the checkpoints by the Russian side; finalization of the agreement on 19 demining sites; finalization of the agreement on four new disengagement sites; ensuring free and unimpeded access of the OSCE SMM to the entire territory of Ukraine; ensuring access of international humanitarian organizations to detainees.
