Russia cannot guarantee the disengagement of forces in Donbas because it does not “influence the militants” as RIA News reported citing Russian President Spokesperson Dmitriy Peskov.

“We talk about the settlement of the inner-Ukrainian conflict. The Kremlin, certainly, has a particular influence on Donbas republics. But you know that “the republics of Donbas” in this case are independent subjects in the settlement of this conflict,” Peskov said.

According to him, Moscow along with Berlin and Paris is “the guarantor of Minsk actions plan”.

Representative of the so-called Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) Rodion Miroshnyk believes that the disengagement of the forces in Donbas does not provide a ceasefire regime. He added that it could also be the self-attack.

Earlier Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko stated that the division of troops would not begin in Donbas today, October 7 due to the attacks of the militants.
