For the past 24 hours, Russia-backed militants have violated the ceasefire in Donbas nine times, using mortars that are prohibited by the Minsk agreements. This was reported by the press service of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry.

Thus, the invaders attacked Ukrainian positions with 120-mm and 82-mm mortars, grenade/rocket launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms.

Five shellings were carried out in the Donetsk region; next to Vodiane, Krasnogorivka, Avdiivka and Piskiv. The Luhansk region was attacked four times.

As a result of the shelling, no casualties have been reported among Ukrainian soldiers.

As we reported earlier, the European Union stated about the importance of the unhindered access of the OSCE SMM to areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions that are uncontrolled by Ukraine.

“It is crucial that Russia and the armed formations that it backs allow the OSCE SMM, UN agencies, non-governmental organizations and the ICRC freedom of movement across the contact line,” the message said.
