The question of belonging of Debaltsevo by Kyiv and pro-Kremlin militants is interpreted in different ways, and Russia does not agree with Ukraine’s point of view. Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian President, reported this as quoted by RIA Novosti news agency.
‘As for Debaltsevo, there is a situation where prior agreements are treated completely different. The Russian side completely disagrees, and this issue is left completely undebated. The work on this topic will continue on the ministerial level,’ Peskov said, answering the question of how Kremlin evaluates the proposal to transfer the Debaltsevo under control of Ukrainian army.
As we earlier reported, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held the speech on the results on the meeting of the Normandy Four leaders in the Embassy of Ukraine to Germany. The President insisted that Debaltsevo must become one of the four areas of disarmament in the near future.
