Ukraine’s Government made public the terms and conditions of the financial help paying for released from detention. The message was published on the website of the Ministry of Temporarily Occupied Territories and IDPs.
“The individuals who were deprived of their personal freedom and released on December 27, 2017 and January 24, 2018, will receive financial help in the amount of $3,800 (once),” the Ministry states.
According to the terms and condition of financial assistance for the individuals who were illegally deprived of personal freedom as a result of the actions of illegal armed formations and/or Russia’s authorities on the territory of ORDLO (Separated Districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, - ed.) and the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine within six months after they were released the individuals have to appeal to the departments of social protection of the acting administration at the place of registration of residence or actual residence to receive the compensation. These are the state administrations in Kyiv and Sevastopol and the executive bodies of the local councils.
The individuals have to provide the application for receiving the payment and the copy of the passport (or any other identification document) and a copy of the taxpayer identification number (except those who does not have a code with a relevant mark in the passport or foreigners) for the civil servants. It is also necessary to provide the originals of the documents.
Earlier, a hostage exchange between Ukraine and the militants took place on December 27, 2017. After that, 103 Ukrainians remain in captivity of DNR (Donetsk People’s Republic) and LNR (Luhansk People’s Republic) terrorists.
Another talks on the exchange started in January 2018, but the agreement has not been reached yet.
