Relatives of five captured Ukrainian servicemen went to the occupied Luhansk to visit them. The visit will last for a day or two and became possible thanks to the Minsk agreements. This was dtated on 112 Ukraine TV channel by adviser to the head of the SBU Yuriy Tandyt.
"We are talking about five of our hostages, relatives went to visit them and they are accompanied by volunteers. This became possible thanks to the Minsk agreements and the support of the Red Cross," he said.
Tandyt stressed that the special services of Ukraine can not cross the line of contact to escort the relatives of prisoners, but Ukrainian side received verbal security guarantees from the ORDLO representatives.
According to him, the relatives would hand to the prisoners humanitarian aid and letters. "If there is an opportunity, they will meet face-to-face," he added.
