Red Cross sends 190 tons of construction materials to occupied Donbas

International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) sent to Donetsk and Luhansk regions humanitarian aid, the total weight of which is 190 tons. The press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reports this.

“Nine trucks from the International Committee of the Red Cross mission passed the entry-exit checkpoint Novotroitske. The trucks were carrying 190 tons of humanitarian aid, in particular, they were carrying construction materials,” the report said.

Besides, it is noted, that all the entry-exit checkpoints of the Joint Forces operation are open in accordance with the winter schedule, they work in normal mode.

"Such amount of means of transport passed through such entry-exit checkpoints today in the morning: Mayorske checkpoint – 30/45, Marinka checkpoint – 30/50, Novotroitske checkpoint – 45/50 and Hnutove checkpoint – 20/30,” as said in the report.

In total, 4,600 means of transport and 36,000 of people passed the checkpoints.

As reported earlier, ICRC has sent to Donetsk and Luhansk regions humanitarian aid, the total weight of which is 160 tons.

In December 2018, ICRC asked the Russian Federation to provide access to the Ukrainian sailors captured by Russia.
