Teams of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) will act as a neutral mediator during the exchange of prisoners between Kyiv and temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, so that all Ukrainians and released detainees can safely meet their families. This was reported by the ICRC’s press service.

The additional measures will be provided for those who release the detainees, the released prisoners themselves, those who meet them and members of the Red Cross. The purpose of these activities is to create safe conditions and reduce the risk of getting infected with coronavirus for them and their loved ones.
