Ukraine and illegal armed groups in the Donbas must disengage troops along the entire demarcation line in Donbas. Russian President Vladimir Putin voiced this opinion at the end of the BRICS summit, RBC reports.
"You see, it’s necessary to disengage troops along the entire demarcation line so that at least the guns don’t shoot so that people don’t die," Putin said.
He emphasized that the parties to the armed conflict in the Donbas should do this as quickly as possible.
As it was reported earlier, the OSCE SMM confirmed the completion of the separation of forces and equipment in area No. 3 near Petrivske village in Donbas.
On Wednesday, November 13, Ukraine's Foreign Ministry and representatives of illegal armed groups confirmed the completion of the withdrawal of forces in this area.
Ukraine's signing of the Steinmeier formula is a condition for participation in the summit in the Normandy format. The implementation of the Steinmeier Plan should be preceded by the withdrawal of troops in Donbas in three areas, followed by a larger-scale troop deployment along the entire demarcation line.
