The rally near Lukyanivske detention center began on December 28. It was caused by the decision of Kyiv court, as the judge changed the restriction measure for five ex-Berkut riot police agents. Oleg Yanishevsky, Pavlo Abroskin, Serhiy Zinchenko, Oleksandr Marynchenko and Serhiy Tamtura are charged with committing mass murders during the events of the Revolution of Dignity in Ukraine in early 2014.

Berkut fighters appeared on the list of the people due to the exchange with pro-Russian mercenaries. Mayorsk checkpoint is now hosting the exchange procedure.
