“During the past weeks, the number of armed provocations from outskirts of Donetsk and Horlivka has increased sharply. Moreover, the caliber of Minsk-banned armament increases proportionally and it is used by occupants almost during each attack. Not reaching the desirable result, particularly, the return fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the curators of the militants try to achieve the escalation of the conflict by all means,” the message says.
It is noted that at 07:15 a.m., on April 23, straightly manipulating the coordination mechanism through the OSCE SMM and providing false promise to cease fire, the militants accused the Armed Forces of Ukraine of ‘shelling Shakhty area, near Horlivka, with the use of 152mm artillery.
“The Ukrainian side at the Joint Control and Coordination Center totally rejects accusations of attack and notes that such provocations and fake information aim to support the invade strategy of the Russian Federation,” the message said.
The Ukrainian side also noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine strictly stick to the ceasefire regime and proper hardware and armament stay at the areas of storage at the withdrawal lines, according to the Minsk Agreements. The course of Ukraine’s government on the exceptionally diplomatic solution of the conflict remains unchanged; while the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in their turn, rigorously observe all demands determined by the Minsk Agreements.
Besides, the Head of the Ukrainian side has prepared and sent a proper protest note to the Head of the OSCE SMM with a request to provide an adequate valuation of the provocative actions of the armed formations of occupied Donbas.
Earlier, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba reported that statement of Russia on the withdrawal of forces from the Ukrainian borders is a positive event. However, the troops’ withdrawal will not stop the conflict in general.
