The Russia-backed militants shoot to kill the civilians in Pivdenne village, Chihari district, near Horlivka, Donetsk region. The press service of the Ministry of temporarily occupied territories and IDPs of Ukraine reported this on June 1.
It is emphasized that the movement of any private vehicles in Pivdenne is forbidden for security reasons.
'Such decision of the Joint Forces Staff is connected to the fact that the local roads are in the zone of the direct impact by the illegal armed formations of the occupation Russian administration that opens fire in the case of the spotting of the movement', the message said.
The ministry noted that two cars out of the seven vehicles that were left in Chihari district burned during the last two days.
According to the ministry almost 70 civilians, including four children from 10 to 16 years stay in Pivdenne.
'The Armed Forces of Ukraine help the citizens of Chinhari to take away the personal stuff and provide the necessary humanitarian aid. The forced evacuation is not planned. The work on the detection of the urgent humanitarian needs of the locals takes place, we establish who of them is ready to leave the village and which kind of help they need', the ministry added.
In the result of the attacks, the power supply is absent in Pivdenne; the water supply is not stopped yet.
'According to the command of Ukraine's Armed Forces, the village will be supplied with the necessary amount of the generators and the fuel for them in the near time'.
'We need the ceasefire regime at least for a week to restore the infrastructure, move people safely, take away personal stuff and evacuate the personal vehicles'.
'At the same time, the militants carry the targeted shelling of the dwellings to burn them and many of them are destroyed up to the foundation', the ministry also noted.
