On April 30, the press service of the headquarters of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) stops its work due to the reforming of the operation in Donbas.
'Today, on April 30, the press center of the ATO headquarters stops its work. We informed the community about the events in the zone of the armed Donbas Conflict during four years', the message said.
The leadership of the ATO and press-center staff thanked the workers of the mass media for the cooperation and covering of the events in Donbas.
As we reported, on April 30, the Anti-Terrorist Operation is officially replaced by the Joint Force Operation (JFO) in Donbas.
The change of the format is defined in the law 'On Donbas reintegration'.
On April 13, Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine claimed that the Anti-terrorist operation in the East of Ukraine is to be renamed in the Joint Forces Operation since April 30, 2018.
As it was reported earlier, Poroshenko appointed Serhiy Nayev the Joint Force Commander.
