President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko instructed the Deputy Head of the President’s Administration Konstantyn Yeliseev to immediately put the question about the aggravation of the situation in Avdiivka to the UN Security Council consideration. It is reported by the presidential press service.

"Today, we are waiting for the relevant applications from our international partners," Poroshenko said.

He also noted that due to the events taking place in Avdiivka, there can be no talk of removing or easing sanctions against Russia.

"I would like to emphasize the behavior of the Russia-backed militants these days. For the first time in many days the enemy used truck-mounted 122 mm multiple rocket launcher Grad against the civilian population and against our units... If someone starts to talk about the lifting of sanctions, what else is needed in order to bring the aggressor to justice?" stressed Poroshenko.
