Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine will pardon a woman charged with the crimes against the state to continue the work on the prisoner’s exchange. Iryna Gerashchenko, the First Vice Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament and the representative of Ukraine at the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbas claimed this as 112 Ukraine broadcasted.

‘The president set a clear task that the term between the first and the second wave of the prisoners’ exchange should be short. We work to continue this important issue. The president will pardon a woman who committed a grave crime against Ukraine to continue the work on the release of our military’, Gerashchenko said.

She specified that this woman hurt herself during the commission of the crime and became an amputee.

‘She has a child. The president will make such humanitarian gesture to continue the issue of the release of the Ukrainian military’, Gerashchenko noted.
