President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will insist on the extended mandate for the peacekeepers, including the permit on use of the weapons and not only for the self-defense at the UN Security Council. Deputy of the Chairman of Petro Poroshenko Bloc and representative of the president in the parliament Iryna Lutsenko claimed this at the coordination board on September 18 broadcasted by 112 Ukraine.

'The president will speak at the UN Security Council on Wednesday and he will also speak at the UN General Assembly. The president will insist on the extended mandate for the UN peacekeepers on the maintenance of peace that will allow them to use the weapons in the case of necessity and not only for defense', Lutsenko said.

According to her, the main demands that will be represented are the deployment of the peacekeeping mission all along the territory of the temporary occupied Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the obligatory deployment at the Ukrainian-Russian border at 420 kilometers of the uncontrolled border.

'It is not only the defense of the OSCE SMM but it also an obligatory enforcement for the mine clearing, disarmament and the obligatory demand is to withdraw the foreign troops, Russian troops and instructors from the territory of Ukraine', she explained.
