Poroshenko signs order on beginning of Joint Force Operation

Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine has signed an order on the beginning of the Joint Force Operation as 112 Ukraine broadcasted.

'I sign the order of Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the beginning of the Joint Forcer Operation on the provision of the national security and defense, response and containment of the armed aggression of Russia in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. According to the order, on April 30 at 14:00 the Joint Forcer Operation on the provision of the national security and defense, response and containment of the armed aggression of Russia in Donetsk and Luhansk regions begins in compliance with the plan of the Joint Forces Operation', Poroshenko said.

As we reported, on April 30, the Anti-Terrorist Operation is officially replaced by the Joint Force Operation (JFO) in Donbas.

The change of the format is defined in the law 'On Donbas reintegration'.

On April 13, Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine claimed that the Anti-terrorist operation in the East of Ukraine is to be renamed in the Joint Forces Operation since April 30, 2018. 

As it was reported earlier, Poroshenko appointed Serhiy Nayev the Joint Force Commander.
