The law defines how much the designated area needs mine action, as well as the funding sources of this action. The bill also provides the list of professional requirements for the experts in this area; one of the responsibilities is to offer the assistance to those who suffered from explosions.
The areas contaminated by the explosive items are defined by the Cabinet of Ministers; however, the most typical and the largest area would be the territory of the Joint Forces Operation, where the combat activity is underway.
The funds will be assigned within the approved articles of the state budget or come from other sources such as international technical assistance or financial donors.
The law also foresees creation and control of the list of operators of the mine action. The annual action plan will be approved by the national authority for mine action issues, which is also to accredit the operators, providing them with the licenses.
