The interview with Denis Pushilin, the recently appointed head of the so-called "Donetsk People's Republic" (DPR) was published by the Polish pro-government newspaper "Rzeczpospolita".

In the beginning, its author Ruslan Shoshyn asked the head of the militants about the perpetrators of the murder of Alexander Zakharchenko. In his turn, Pushilin accused the "Ukrainian special services" and added that Kyiv actively sabotages any peace talks.

"Kyiv actively sabotages any peace talks. The Ukrainian authorities decided to play at a time. During the last three years none of the postulates included in the Minsk Agreements was implemented," he claimed.

Then the journalist noted that Kyiv believed the Kremlin puppets stayed in Donetsk and Luhansk that not make any decision without the agreement of Russia.

"Today the world, possibly, has no doubts that the Russian army stays in Donbas for some years," journalist Szoszyn said. Pushilin answered that "if there were Russian Army in Donbas, the situation would be totally different."

"Kyiv stays far from the place where the Russian Army really stays. I mean Crimea. If there is Russian Army in Donbas, the situation will be totally different. We really wanted it to take place in 2014. Unfortunately, people who worked at the local factories and mines were forced to take arms. Ukraine had suffered huge losses and decided to explain it by the presence of the battalions of the Russian Army in Donbas," he claimed.

The head of the so-called "DPR" also claimed that "their analytics" will consider the variants of the further development of the events if the Minsk Agreement loses its power.

Reportedly, on August 31, as a result of the explosion in the restaurant in the downtown of Donetsk, head of so-called “DNR” Aleksander Zakharchenko died. The Russian mass media reported that Oleksandr Timofeyev, so-called "minister of revenue and duties" of so-called "DNR" has also died. The so-called “law enforcers” of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic stated that they detained “Ukrainian saboteurs” who were presumably involved in the assassination of Zakharchenko. Although, SBU hasn’t approved the information.

"DPR" suspects one of the guards of Zakharchenko in his death. At the same time, the Russian MFA accused "Kyiv regime" in the death of Zakharchenko.  It was reported on the closure of all crossing checkpoints along the Inter-Entity Boundary Line because of the incident. Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences over the murder of Zakharchenko.
