The entire Donetsk region faces a threat of chemical contamination, said Deputy Head of OSCE SMM in Ukraine Alexander Hug. According to him, such scenario is quite possible if the shooting continues in Novhorodske, Donetsk region.

The waste storage of carbolic acid factory is located exactly between the positions of Ukrainian forces and those of Russia-backed militants, says the Twitter account of OSCE SMM in Ukraine.

Hug stressed it is necessary to implement the ceasefire mode in the area and separate the conflicting sides there.
