Observers of OSCE monitoring mission in Donbas report presence of Minsk-banned artillery systems to the northeast of Mariupol, Donetsk region. The weaponry is located on the militant-held territory in the way that breaches the ceasefire mode in the war-torn eastern Ukraine, monitors say.
‘The SMM continued to monitor the withdrawal of weapons, in implementation of the Memorandum, the Package of Measures and its Addendum. In violation of withdrawal lines, in non-government-controlled areas, the SMM saw two self-propelled howitzers (2S1 Gvozdika, 122mm) 2.5km north-east of Zaichenko (26km north-east of Mariupol) pointed in a south-westerly direction,’ reads the report posted at the OSCE website on May 24.
