The combat activity in Donbas seems to have decreased for now, OSCE monitoring mission in Ukraine says. According to the observers, this shows relative effectiveness of  so-called ‘school ceasefire’ (offered by President Poroshenko; it started on August 25, intending to give children the opportunity to go to school safely, - 112 International).

'In Donetsk region, the SMM recorded fewercluding 70 explosions, compared with the previous 24 hours (about 140 explosions). About 70 per cent of these violations were recorded between 00:00 and 19:30 on 25 August, mostly in the area between government-controlled Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk) and 'DPR'-controlled Yasynuvata (16km north-east of Donetsk),' the report says.

At the same time, OSCE observers report continuous denial of access in certain areas of the militant-held territories of Donbas.
