The amount of shelling in the Donbas region for the first three days of the week is almost equal to the number of attacks during the whole last week. This was announced by the OSCE SMM Deputy Head Alexander Hug on Twitter.
"According to the existing data, for the first 3 days of this week SMM recorded almost the same number of explosions caused by Minsk-proscribed weapons as for entire last week", reads the message.

Last week the Special Monitoring Mission recorded 250% increase in artillery explosions, prohibited by the Minsk Agreements, and 12-fold increase in mortar explosions.
"40% of all SMM-recorded ceasefire violations caused by heavy weapons occurred in west Luhansk region, including most of the mortar shelling", Hug stated.
