OSCE Representative to visit occupied Donbas, meet Ukraine’s hostages

The OSCE representative, the coordinator of the working group on humanitarian issues, Ambassador Toni Frisch is on a working visit to the occupied part of the Donbas region, and plans to meet with Ukrainian hostages. The OSCE representative on the Trilateral contact group Martin Sajdik said this during the briefing broadcast by 112 Ukraine TV Channel.

Previously, Frisch monitored the territory controlled by Kyiv.

"The discussion focused on the amnesty and the modality of local elections in the Donbas region. Among the economic problems the group discussed the issue of water and electricity supply, the restoration of railway tracks and power lines," Sajdik commented on the other issues of the negotiations in Minsk.

Recall that Minsk hosts the meeting of the four subgroups and the Trilateral contact group. The main topic of the meeting was the release of illegally detained persons, as well as the possibility of the ICRC to get access to them.

The Ukrainian side in the Trilateral Contact Group insisted on the fact that the implementation of political and economic points of the Minsk agreements should be preceded by security issues implementation.
