OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine recorded about 400,000 violations of the ceasefire in Donbas in 2017. This was reported at a briefing by the OSCE first deputy head Alexander Hug, 112.ua reports.
"Nearly 400,000 violations of the ceasefire regime were registered in 2017 and this is a fact that the parties should seriously think about. Despite the fact that according to the SMM data 4,000 cases of placement of prohibited weapons with violation of the agreed withdrawal lines have been reported this year, the sides should consider and thoroughly examine the root causes of these violations," Hug said.
As it was reported earlier the OSCE SMM spotted 1000 explosions in Donetsk region and 50 explosions in Luhansk region on December 11.
Also, the OSCE SMM workers report that they continue to observe the regions of the delimitation of the forces and equipment near Stanytsia Luhanska, Zolote and Petrovske (Luhansk region). At the same time, the access of the SMM observers to these territories remained limited.
