The OSCE SMM recorded 443 violations of the truce regime in Donbas over the weekend of October 23-24, the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine states in the daily report.

Thus, in the Donetsk region, the SMM recorded 406 ceasefire violations, including 60 explosions (1 explosion in the air, 5 ruptures and 54 explosions of unknown origin). Most of the ceasefire violations were recorded at the breeding site in the area of Petrovske settlement, as well as north of Shyrokyne settlement.

In the Luhansk region, the mission recorded 37 ceasefire violations, including 12 explosions of unknown origin. Most of the ceasefire violations were recorded east of the breeding area in the Zolote settlement.

As reported earlier, on October 17 it became known that the Organization for Security and Cooperation on Europe has suspended its monitoring mission in eastern Ukraine following protests near its headquarters in separatist-controlled Donetsk. About 200 pro-Russian protesters confronted OSCE monitors on Saturday to demand the release of a rebel officer captured by the Ukrainian military the week before. The Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) on peaceful settlement of the Donbas Conflict considers the actions of the militants, who block the work of the OSCE mission in Donbas, as a systemic undermining of the mission's powers.
