OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Ann Linde stated that the conflict in Donbas is one of the largest threats to European security. She made such a statement during her visit to Ukraine as the Embassy of Sweden to Ukraine reported.
“This conflict is one of the largest threats for the European security and principles that were assumed by all countries-members of the OSCE,” Linde said.
Besides, the OSCE Chair stated the necessity to improve the difficult humanitarian situation for the civilians.
It is noted that the agenda includes the issue concerning the regional tension due to the enhancing of Russia’s activity at the Ukrainian border and in Crimea, as well as the ceasefire in Donbas.
As we reported, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the number of attacks in Donbas decreased during the past seven-ten days. Ukraine’s representative at the Trilateral Contact Group stated that the hush at the front is tied with the upcoming meeting of U.S. President Joe Biden and Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
