The OSCE extended the mandate of the Special Monitoring Mission in Donbas until March 31, 2019. This was reported on Twitter by the press service of the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to international organizations in Vienna.
“The mandate of the OSCE SMM was extended until March 31, 2019. The delegation of Ukraine issued its interpretative statement, in which it stressed that the SMM should have full and unhindered access to the entire territory of Ukraine, including Crimea and Sevastopol. All states of the EU, the USA and Canada have supported this,” the message says.
As it was reported earlier Ukraine's Foreign Ministry sent the OSCE a request for the extension of the monitoring mission's mandate in Donbas for another year. Ihor Prokopchuk, Ukraine's representative at international organizations in Vienna tweeted this on Twitter. Prokopchuk added that Ukraine welcomes the efforts and loyalty of OSCE SMM observers who keep on doing their job in Crimea and eastern Ukraine.
