The OSCE SMM observers confirmed that the withdrawal of the troops took place near Stanytsia Luhanska, from both sides, Armed Forces of Ukraine and militants as OSCE report stated.
The observers saw that firstly, sides launched signal flares; then the Ukrainian military and militant left “cut-off forefronts” and left the area of the withdrawal with the armament.
“The Mission also saw other members of the armed formations with their weapons, including an anti-aircraft gun, exiting the disengagement area west of the Prince Ihor monument,” the report said.
On June 26, the first stage of the withdrawal of the Ukrainian detachments under the surveillance of the OSCE mission took place in Stanytsya Luhanska.
It is reported that the arrival of Ukraine’s Representative in the Trilateral Contact Group Leonid Kuchma is expected soon to continue work on the withdrawal of the sides to the frontier established by Minsk Agreements.
