Since the beginning of the year, 45 civilians died, 216 were wounded due to the skirmishes in Donbas. Alexander Hug, the Deputy Head of OSCE SMM in Ukraine said that at a briefing in Vienna as quoted by DW.

According to him, that’s a 110 percent increase compared with the last year’s figure.  

Hug added that the civilians continue to take casualties only because the warring sides fail to comply with Minsk agreements.
