On January 23, pro-Kremlin militants attacked the emplacements of Ukrainian government forces in Donbas eight times.
The enemy used Minsk-banned weaponry. According to the Joint Forces Operation HQ, in Talakivka, Donetsk region, the armed bandits opened fire from 82 mm mortars. Anti-tank missile launchers were used in a fight near Opytne. In the vicinities of Krasnohorivka and Shyrokyne, the enemy fired small arms and grenade launchers.
In the Luhansk region, Russian mercenaries violated the ceasefire three times. In Khutir Vilny, they fired heavy machine guns and grenade launchers; in Orikhove, the militants used grenade launchers of various systems.
One Ukrainian serviceman was wounded in combat.
Earlier, OSCE Chairman Edi Rama claimed that the attainment of peace in Ukraine is the key priority for Albania during the presidency in the OSCE in 2020. “The assistance to peace settlement (in Donbas, - 112.international) is the priority for Albanian presidency in OSCE in 2020. That is why I started my first official visit at the post to Ukraine,” he said.
