One Ukrainian serviceman sustained injuries as a result of hostilities in eastern Ukraine on December 5, reports the press office of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) on Facebook.
‘Today, December 5, the Russian occupation forces violated the ceasefire regime eight times… One serviceman from the Joint Forces received injuries, as a result of combat actions,’ reads the report.
The militants used weapons prohibited by Minsk Agreements four times.
‘In the afternoon, the enemy opened aimed fire 82mm mortars, ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft mount, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms at the positions of the Joint Forces in the area of Vilne farmstead. At the same location, the occupiers used anti-tank guided missiles,’ the headquarters reported.
It is also noted that the strongholds of the Ukrainian forces near Opytne were fired 120mm mortars, and defensive fortifications near Krasnohorivka were fired from heavy machine guns. Moreover, the Russian armed formations performed shelling on the approaches to Taramchuk, Novomykhailivka, and Hnutove.
Over the last day, December 4, 24 attacks against Ukrainian forces were recorded. As a result of the combat actions, one Ukrainian serviceman died, three more sustained injuries.
