On Dec. 22, the militants continued gravely violating the cease-fire regime and conducted aimed attacks on the Ukrainian soldiers, including instances of usage of Minsk-banned weapons, the Ukrainian Army HQ informs on Facebook.
In Luhansk sector, the enemy used 122-mm mortars to attack the Ukrainian soldiers near Stariy Aidar. 120-mm mortars were used near Troitske, Mayorske, and Luhanske. The defenders of Novooleksandrivka and Zaitseve were attacked with ICVs, grenade launchers, and machine guns.
In Donetsk sector, the enemy used mortars near Avdiivka, Pishchevik, and Pavlopol.
As a result of armed confrontations, one Ukrainian soldier was killed, one wounded, and one injured.
As we reported earlier, a new cease-fire agreement was reached and started working at midnight on Dec. 23. It remains to be seen if the militants will abide by it this time.
