A soldier of Ukrainian Armed Forces was captured by militants near Krymske on November 23, according to the press service of the battalion where he serves.

“Unfortunately, one of the soldiers of the battalion didn’t manage to get away from the battlefield near Krymske, he was captured by Russian mercenaries,” the message says. Previously “LPR” militants claimed they captured a Ukrainian soldier, according to Ura.ru.

The terrorist claim that the Ukrainian soldiers left the wounded soldier behind while retreating. In the video published by them, the soldier introduced himself as Roman Furtsev.

While commenting on the issue for Inforesist, spokesperson of the Donbas conflict HQ Vasyl Labay said the information was being verified. He also noted that given the situation in the uncontrolled by government Luhansk, the militants spread more fake news about the Armed Forces of Ukraine to draw attention away from what’s going on in Luhansk.
