One Ukrainian servicemen killed, three wounded in ATO zone over past day

Situation in Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) zone remains tense but controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The units of Russia-backed occupation forces attacked positions of Ukrainian defenders 46 times in the last 24 hours. One Ukrainian soldier was killed, three more got wounded. This was reported by ATO HQ on Facebook.

Most of the enemy’s provocations were recorded in Donetsk direction. Thus, enemy fired 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers of various types and heavy machine guns at strongholds near Avdiivka, Butivka mine, Verkhnyotoretske and Luhanske. Grenade launchers and heavy machine guns were used to attack Zaytseve, Pisky and Kamianka. IFV weaponry was used near Luhanske and Zaytseve. Enemy snipers were active near Butivka mine.

In Mariupol direction, enemy fired 82 mm mortars at Shyrokyne and Marinka. IFV weaponry, grenade launchers of various types and heavy machine guns were used to attack Vodiane. Heavy machine guns were also fired near Lebedynske, while militants used small arms to attack Taramchuk and Hnutove.

In Luhansk direction, enemy fired heavy machine guns, 120 and 82 mm mortars at positions near Katerynivka. Small arms were used to attack Ukrainian positions near Stanytsia Luhanska and Valuyske.
