One Ukrainian serviceman wounded in Donbas over day

Since the beginning of July 11, one Ukrainian warrior has sustained combat wounds in Donbas. Russian occupants breached the ceasefire regime 11 times, the Joint Forces Operation HQ reported. 

The illegal armed formations of the Russian Federation shelled Ukrainian positions, using Minsk-banned 122 mm artillery and mortars (both 82 and 120 mm). The enemy also fired grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.

In Donetsk region, the invaders opened fire in Taramchuk, Shyrokyne, Novoselivka II and Pisky.

In Luhansk region, the occupants attacked Luhanske, Novoluhanske and Zaitsevo. 

The enemy casualties are being specified.

July 11, President Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. The conversation happened upon the initiative of the Ukrainian side. This was reported by Putin's Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov, Interfax news agency informed.

“The issues of adjustment in the south-east [of Ukraine] and cooperation to return the detained people from both sides were discussed,” he said.

Later, it was specified that the politicians discussed the release of 24 Ukrainian sailors detained in the Kerch Strait in November 2018.

Putin and Zelensky came to an agreement to continue the work on the expert level. Besides, state leaders talked about continued cooperation in the Normandy format.
