On January 31, Russian militants attacked positions of Ukrainian government troops six times. In two cases, the enemy used Minsk-banned weapons, the HQ of the Joint Forces Operation reported.
The hostile fighters attacked Ukrainian outposts in Pisky, using 82 mm mortars. The BMP-2 infantry combat vehicle, heavy machine guns and grenade launchers were used in the firefight, too. Mines and grenades hit the positions near Kryakivka.
In the vicinity of Krymske, Stanytsia Luhanska and Khutir Vilny, the enemy fired automatic grenade launchers, small arms and large-caliber machine guns.
One of the Ukrainian fighters was wounded. The enemy also took casualties; one mercenary was killed, another two wounded, according to the Ukrainian military intelligence.
No ceasefire violations were observed since the beginning of the day.
Earlier, we reported that the first medical evacuation units started working in Donbas. An experimental unit is already on the frontline, the HQ of the Joint Forces Operation reported. All crews have the necessary supplies and facilities that meet the requirements of the NATO standards.
