One Ukrainian serviceman died and one sustained injuries in the Joint Forces Operation zone the previous day, December 7, reports the press office of the JFO headquarters.
‘During the combat actions, two servicemen from the Joint Forces received injuries, one of them died,’ reads the message.
According to the HQ, the situation in the JFO zone was tense but controlled. The militants opened fire 13 times, having performed shelling at the JFO positions in the areas of Krymske, Zaitseve, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Pesky, Opytne, Taramchuk, Chermalyk, Bohdanivka, Hruntove and Vodiane and Pryazovia.
The enemy was firing from grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms. Besides, the activity of a sniper was recorded in one of the directions.
The militants also used IFV weapons near Zaitseve in the direction of Horlivka, and Opytne.
