A Ukrainian serviceman sustained a combat wound in Donbas, as the Russian militants opened fire near Hnutove. Ukraine's delegation in the Minks trilateral contact group reported that on January 14.
"One serviceman of Ukraine's Armed Forces suffered an injury on January 14, at about 6 p.m., as the enemy shot at our positions near Hnutove. He received medical assistance; his condition is stable", the message says.
The Ukrainian side sent OSCE SMM a note about the incident.
During the day, Russian occupants breached the ceasefire twice; they did not use the weapons of banned calibers.
As we reported earlier, the French Foreign Ministry urged the warring sides in the Donbas conflict to live up to the agreements reached during the summit in Paris in 2019.
"France, along with Germany, is continuing its efforts within the Normandy format for the purpose of establishing a just and lasting peace in eastern Ukraine. To that end, we are working to implement the conclusions agreed to at the Normandy Format summit held in Paris on December 9, 2019, which revived the negotiating process to resolve that conflict. We call on all the parties to implement in good faith the commitments they undertook and to continue constructive discussions on the agenda agreed to at that summit," the commentary provided by the French Foreign Ministry reads.
