Since the beginning of the day in Donbas, militants fired at the positions of the Ukrainian military four times and used weapons of prohibited calibers. The press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reports this information.
The militants violated the truce in the Donetsk direction. They used 120 mm mortars and easel anti-tank grenade launchers to target Ukrainian positions near Maryinka; hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, small arms, and easel anti-tank grenade launchers near Pavlopil.
In Donbas, one Ukrainian soldier died, he was blown up by an unidentified explosive device.
As we reported before, at the border with the temporarily occupied territories of Donbas, the Ukrainian side would introduce additional sanitary security measures due to the risk of the spread of coronavirus. Press secretary of second president of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma and representative of Ukraine in the tripartite contact group Darka Olifer wrote about this on her page on Facebook.
"A discussion has begun of decision-making modalities regarding the opening of new checkpoints across the line of contact, as well as additional sanitary and epidemiological measures in connection with the threat of the spread of coronavirus," the spokeswoman wrote.
