A civilian injured in the militants’ shelling of Mariinka, the press service of the National Police in Donetsk region reported that on their Facebook page.

“Yesterday, the shelling of the city started at 6:50 p.m. A 38-year man, who was working inside his house, got a fragment wound in his chest and stomach. He covered his wife with his body to protect her. The local resident was delivered to the city hospital in Kurakhovo,” reads the message.

The police investigation team is working on the site. A criminal case on terror attack was initiated.

As it was reported, Russian aggressor was shelling Mariinka suburbs from mortars and small arms since 6:50 p.m. yesterday till Tuesday morning. They halted shelling Mariinka from mortars, though went on firing from arms.
