Citizens of occupied Donbas are moving to the Russian Federation for work en masse as the Eastern Human Rights Group reported on Facebook.

Such activity is tied with the beginning of the summer season in southern Russia, and Donbas citizens invited to work as support staff and with the beginning of labor watch. Many Donbas citizens work in Russia in labor watch mode for three months, then they return to occupied Donbas on May holidays and return back to Russia.

It is noted that it is necessary to have a Russian passport to get a job in Russia; however, people have to receive a Russian passport in occupied Donbas – some centers for passport issuance did not work and the lines were observed.

“The citizens of occupied Donbas work not only in mines but also at plantations, hotels, construction sites and as security guards in Russia”, the message said.

As we reported, Russia continues and accelerates the policy of mass issuance of passports in simplified order to Ukrainian citizens in the territories of Donbas uncontrolled by Ukraine. In Crimea, the occupation authorities force teachers, other workers of schools, members of their families to obligatory registration for “training all-Russian online voting at the elections to the State Duma of Russia”.
