Nothing has changed on the demarcation line on the East of Ukraine over three years, as EU Ambassador to Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli said in an interview for Eurointegration.
This is how he answered the question about the changes on the demarcation line in Donbas considering the fact he visited that area many times three years ago and now.
“No, at least I don’t see (changes, - ed.). Recently, I’ve been to Stanytsia Luhanska. I saw the so-called separatists with Kalashnikovs, I saw poor tired people, who were pulling their stuff (over the destroyed bridge, - ed.) and I can’t say I saw any progress,” he said.
Mingarelli stated that reforms and changes in Ukraine have not reached the regions adjacent to the demarcation line.
As it was reported earlier, UN Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights Kate Gilmore stressed that 5 five million Ukrainians are suffering from Donbas conflict.
