President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin

The leaders of the Normandy Four countries are discussing the possibility of holding a summit. Russian President Vladimir Putin believes that this mechanism should be used, RIA Novosti reports.

“I haven’t heard the latest insistent proposals on this matter, although we are discussing it. I believe that we do not have other mechanisms, and these mechanisms, no matter how difficult it is today, but this mechanism must be used. It should be used in order to at least get closer to solving the problems that we are talking about now," Putin stressed.

Meanwhile, Moscow will never agree that it is one of the parties to the armed conflict in Donbas. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that.

"Nowhere in the Minsk agreements is it said that Russia is a party to the conflict. We have never agreed and we will not agree with that. We are not," Putin said.

Putin pointed out that the Ukrainian authorities continue to use force to resolve the crisis in the region, violating the agreements.

In particular, he recalled the use of combat drones by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
