Non-battle casualties of Ukrainian Army in Donbas in 2017: 98 dead, 178 injured

In 2017, the non-battle casualties of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donbas conflict zone constitute 98 dead and 178 injured soldiers, according to the response of the Ministry of Defence to an inquiry from 112.ua.

At the same time, the Ministry didn’t specify how many soldiers serve in the zone of the conflict, noting that this information is of restricted access.

Previously the Minister of Defence Stepan Poltorak said that the non-battle casualties in Donbas were reduced by five in 2017.

From the beginning of the conflict in April 2014 to the end of October 2017, the battle casualties of the Ukrainian Army include 10,710 people, 2,333 of them were killed.
