Since the beginning of Tuesday, no gunfire was observed in Donbas combat area. The press office of Ukraine's Defense Ministry reported that on December 8.

During the day, Ukraine's combat engineers cleared six hectares of area from landmines. They passed 136 items for further safe destruction.

On December 7, Russian mercenaries breached the ceasefire four times. The occupants used under-barrel grenade launchers and heavy machine guns, as well as anti-tank grenade launchers.

Earlier, we reported that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (the Parliament) is offered to extend the law on the special status for the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions for another year - until December 31, 2021. The corresponding bill № 4467 was registered by representatives of pro-presidential party Servant of the People.

For now, the text of the document is not available. The previous law expires on December 31, 2020, so the parliament must adopt the relevant bill by the end of this year.
