Currently, there have been no cases of Chinese coronavirus detected in the Ukrainian capital. Mykola Povoroznyk, the first deputy head of Kyiv city state administration said so at a briefing.
"As for the Chinese coronavirus, there has been not a single case of contamination", Povoroznyk said.
According to him, currently, the city's healthcare system is ready to assist in case this sort of virus is detected.
"The city is ready to assist technically, and technologically. I'd like to turn to Kyivites with the request not to treat themselves, and to turn to the family doctor at the slightest symptoms of the disease", the official said.
As we reported earlier, the World Health Organization (WHO) does not recommend evacuating foreign citizens due to the massive spread of the coronavirus, Xinhuanet agency informed.
"We have noted that some countries have expressed their desire to withdraw citizens of China, and WHO does not advocate this. In the current situation, we should remain calm and there is no need to overreact. WHO is confident in the Chinese government's ability to prevent and control the epidemic," the statement said.
