As of Wednesday noon, there have been no ceasefire violations in Donbas combat area - since the beginning of the day. Ukraine's Defense Ministry reported that on January 8.
According to the Chief Intelligence Department of the Ministry, the command of Russian occupant forces has been taking measures to destabilize the situation on the contact line in Donbas.
"During the New Year and Christmas holidays, the occupants have been reinforcing their firing points to provoke ceasefire violations and inflict casualties on the staff of the Joint Forces. At the same time, the reconnaissance groups of the enemy actively searched for the weak spots in the defense of Joint Forces and potential targets for snipers", says the message.
Recently, we reported that the Ukrainian side does not withdraw its anti-aircraft missile systems 9KZZ Osa. The OSCE claimed that this is a violation of the Minsk agreements, but Joint Forces Operation staff denies it.
"The Ukrainian side of the joint center for monitoring and coordinating ceasefire and stabilizing the demarcation line of the parties, informs that the deployment of the specified military equipment does not fall under the Minsk agreements on the withdrawal of weapons," the statement said.
The staff asserts that according to the Minsk agreements, tanks, artillery, MLRS and tactical missiles are subjected to disengagement.
